Hi, welcome to Field to Food. We are two foodies who live in sunny
California, where yummy delicious food abounds.
Sarah grew up eating locally grown fruit and vegetables. Blessed with parents who were fantastic cooks, Sarah enjoyed a childhood filled with the best foods of prime farmland of Northern California.
Matt's father was born on a farm and continues to garden extensively. His backyard produced strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes, lettuce, potatoes, squash, carrots, onions, and, best of all, fresh peaches eaten warm from the tree.
Because we love fresh ingredients, we want to understand how food is grown. Until now, we've experienced farms from the periphery. Field to Food is a chance for us to dig further into origin of the food we love. From cultivation to consumption, our subject spans agriculture, food transportation, seasonal eating, urban farming, supermarkets, bodegas, taco trucks and fine dining.
We want to explore the entire life of food, from the sources to enjoyment on the fork. Food is a delicious subject.
